Welcome to the Mountainside Middle School community! We hope your introduction to MMS has been a positive one. MMS PTO is here to assist all our community members throughout their journey at Mountainside. PTO plays an important role in enhancing the experience for students, staff, and all the MMS community. One way we assist is by paying for teacher resources the district is unable to provide. MMS PTO Dollars are hard at work:

• Annual $3,400 subsidizing of IB Training for Staff
• Providing each teacher with a $50 Amazon gift card for classroom supplies
• Hosting Spring Luau student celebration
• Collaborating with MMS Student Government for events and spirit weeks
• Funding supplemental teaching materials for classrooms
• Campus beautification continues for all to enjoy: PTO planted trees, shrubs, cacti, and added artificial turf, new window designs on student center
• Cougar logo decals in student center
• Sound system for assemblies and other student presentations
• Garden contribution
• Funding for STEM education series and lab improvements
• Tables and benches for front courtyard
• Safety support/cameras
• Treats for students throughout the school year for special occasions and testing
• Purchased all item on staff wish lists
