Welcome to the 2026-2027 Mountainside Middle School PTO! 

Dear Cougar Families,

Thank you for taking an interest in PTO! My name is Lindsay Mattoon, your new MMS PTO President for the 2026-2027 school year. I am looking forward to strengthening our presence, which directly benefits students, teachers and staff at MMS!

As a new 7th grade parent last year, I decided to join PTO after attending my first meeting. What really stood out to me was that the MMS PTO runs exclusively on Cougar Club memberships and community sponsorships. and no time commitment required. We only ask for one donation for the school year! Great things are happening here at MMS, thanks to the PTO’s Cougar Club. Some examples are:

NEW! 2026-2027 Paraprofessional Aide 

     - Full-time instructional support, school-wide supervision and substitute teaching when needed

NEW! 2026 Summer Enrollment Position  

     - On MMS campus 3x/week during busy enrollment time

Student events and treats on special occasions 

Staff appreciation throughout the year

This is only glimpse of what is happening on behalf of the Cougar Club! Again, there is no time commitment required for membership; however, if you would like to volunteer occasionally, please click here. New opportunities are posted on an as-needed basis. 

Whether you are looking to get involved, meet other MMS families, or just want to hear what we're doing, please join us on campus for a PTO meeting! Meetings are held on the second Friday of each month at 9am (October will be on 10/8 at 9am due to fall break). We would love to see you at our next meeting!
