Welcome to Mountainside Middle school!  Your MMS PTO is excited for the 2023-2024 school year and the opportunities it presents our students and community.  We encourage you to join in our anticipation for the wonderful year ahead. To stay up to date with all the happenings at Mountainside, please register on our website.  You will receive a weekly newsletter from the PTO.  You will also be able to join the PTO, review volunteer opportunities both on campus and from home, and keep a pulse on the Mountainside community.
 
MMS PTO has many opportunities for both individuals and businesses to get involved and support the many wonderful things happening at Mountainside.  For more information on corporate sponsorship opportunities, please contact Christine Sterling

The MMS PTO supports the Cougar community in the following ways:  

• Funding supplemental teaching materials in classrooms
• Software for IB MYP lesson planning
• Library Assistant staffing
• Professional Development
• STUGO planned events such as Monster Bash and spirit weeks
• Technology
• PBIS (Positive Behavior Incentives)
• Staff Appreciation Events
• Student events including the Spring Fling and 8th Grade Celebration
• Design Lab updates 
• Campus beautification
• Security camera updates

Each of these takes financial and time commitments. We encourage you to contribute at any level.  No donation of time or money is too big or too small. Each MMS student benefits from your donations! 

The MMS Weekly Newsletter is the best way to stay updated on school happenings, future dine-out events, Corporate Sponsor opportunities, and other ways for students, families, and businesses to volunteer and be involved at MMS.   
 
PTO meets monthly and we welcome you to join us.  All meetings are open to the families of MMS.  Click on the calendar to see the meeting dates for this school year. 

Don’t forget to stop by our table at the New Cougar Boot Camp and Curriculum night events.  Your support of the PTO is greatly appreciated.
